Welcome to St. Vincent de
Paul Center!
Since 1915, St. Vincent de Paul Center
has been serving the needs of the working
poor of Chicago at the corner of Halsted
and Webster. Sponsored by the Daughters
of Charity, St. Vincent’s provides much
needed programs and services in the areas
of child care, social services, outreach
to the homeless and services for the elderly.
-
Child Care: St. Vincent’s
provides care for over 420 kids, ranging
in age from
three months to 13 years. From early
childhood education to after-school and
summer camp
programs to an all day kindergarten
program, the Center provides quality
NAEYC accredited
education and child care.
-
Services for
the Elderly: The Center provides
outreach, assistance and case
management for more than 100 low
income and at-risk Chicagoans age 60
and older.
In addition, Laboure House offers
an inter-generational residence for low
income elders and college
students.
-
Homeless Outreach:
The Center offers counseling, a food
pantry,
showers, a laundry
room and other support
services for hundreds who are homeless
or on the verge of becoming
homeless each year.
In these programs, and in all that it
does, St. Vincent de Paul Center strives
to carry out its services and programs
in the Vincentian tradition of compassionate
charism, while serving the community with
dignity and respect.
Whether you are seeking child care or
are interested in volunteering or making
a donation to our agency, we invite you
to become a part of the St. Vincent de.
Paul Center Family.
St. Vincent de Paul Center—“we’re here
because we care.”
