Proposed IL State Budget Slashes Services
to Kids by 50%
beginning July 1st
Budget cuts would be devastating to thousands
of
Illinois children and families
- Specifically for St. Vincent de Paul
Center and Marillac Social Center, the
proposed budget cuts would COMPLETELY
ELIMINATE the child care and youth programs,
impacting
more than 800 Chicago children and their
families as well as the program employees.
- Families
that we currently serve would likely
be placed in a position to choose
between buying food, paying rent/utilities
or child care, and would have difficulty
keeping their jobs.
